So i was reading an earlier post about Fred Durst being the axis of evil which digressed into a discussion of good music now, and i was curious as to what others on this site listened too. I am a huge fan of music of all kinds and i am always looking for new bands and artists, so i was just wondering what was playing in everyone else’s cd players lately.
I am currently listening to The Strokes, which i just got today, and i love it!!! I have also been listening to Dylan, Ryan Adams, Dashboard, Wilco, and Counting Crows. I would assume that everyone on this board has at least heard of all those bands, but if you haven’t, check them all out, they are all incredible

Interpol! FANTASTIC album called “Turn On The Bright Lights” I’m gonna go see them in a week and I’m terribly excited.

Glad I could be help you out with Trail of Dead, JaBird! They’re kind of Sonic Youthy in a more accessible way, I think. They definitely wear their influences on their sleeves.

Just downloaded some mp3s of AYWKUBTOD and I am digging them quite a bit. From Madonna and Source Tags And Codes. I think I will be buying a couple albums in the not so distant future!

At our house:
Anything by the Beatles
“Home” by the Dixie Chicks
Stephen Fearing
Dianna Krall
Simply Baroque by YoYO Ma
lots by Steve Bell – Steve is the top selling independent Christian musician in Canada.
He has his own label – signpost records – and is starting to distribute for other artists.
He is all accoustic and does most of his own songwriting. You can check him out at
www.signpostmusic.ca
His audience is probably a bit “life experienced” for alot of you
but his struggles with the music industry fit it completely with the discussion that is ongoing on that topic!

Flaming Lips!

I just saw them on Austin City Limits last weekend with Beck. I had heard of them, but never heard them. They were great! Any advice on what to listen to first Space? or anybody else.

What do you folks out there think of the newly formed Billy Corgan fronted musical endevor entitled ZWAN? I got to admit, the single “Honestly” i think it is called, is pretty catchy, if thats your thing.

I also have to admit they actually made his voice sound half decent on this recording.
