Read this issue’s Bible study verses: ../issues/backIssue.cfm?issueid=32#study

Read the story of the event we celebrate on December 25. Try breaking the passage up over several days and meditate on a couple of sentences each day. Why are the details of this story significant?

Great, great piece. So many good things about it. It’s a little bit of literary theory without being too much theory. And alot of fun. I especially like how details are added to the same scene each time, how the guy on the cell phone is tired of arguing with his wife at the same time that we’re tired of hearing the same argument again. Thank you, Jeff DeVries. A very appropriate piece at Christmas time, what with God the Savior coming in such a seemingly insignificant way; but the event becomes so full of meaning with the significance of thousands of years of Jewish history.
