I found a really interesting op-ed from the Wall Street Journal about CNN’s recent confession that it covered up Iraqi atrocities to preserve it’s ability to report from within Iraq.

These kind of revelations really leave me wondering about how current dictatorships are portrayed. What are your thoughts.

The media. What sluts!

The good thing is we all have a pretty good, GENERAL idea what life would be like under a dictatorship. I don’t think many people think it’s fun or nice. Do I need to know the gory details to be convinced? Probably not. But still. What’s the point, if you’re not going to report the details?
