i listened to the speech on the chicago tribune site and i remember him saying something about a “righteous wind at our backs” when we align our society with some of the values he mentions, but i can’t seem to find it in the transcript text.
at first i thought he was doing a whole manifest destiny thing, but then i figured out that he was referring to changing the spirit to something far different than both manifest destiny or the current spirit in the US.
