did you know that you can get a tax deduction up to $38,000 if you buy a new hummer h2 and use it more than 50% of the time for business purposes?

amazing . . .

hmmm…this has got my wheels turning. i think if we bought one, we’d get enough of a tax refund to make the payments on it for the following year. this could be a smart business decision…

would it make me a clever consumer or a selfish jerk? what are the moral implications of jumping through this loophole?

Clever consumer vs. selfish jerk … I think it would make you a slightly paunchy, balding middle-aged man who incurs more injuries during his weekly game of “buckets” than points and smokes pot before heading off to a Bruce Springsteen concert.

For that amount of money, I’d buy something fast. Like the Batmobile.

Funny you bring up the Batmobile…I just saw two of them this past week. One was driving around the Warner Bros. lot and the other is at Peterson’s Automobile Museum in Los Angeles. I asked for a ride at WB and they laughed and drove away. Go fig.
