A co-worker of mine works with compassion and justice ministries and emailed me that there will be various speakers relating to compassion/justice issues coming to the chicago area (Lawndale) now through December.
Here’s the basic info, along with a link to the website to check out the speakers and their topics:
“CCDA along with Christian Community Health Fellowship and Lawndale Community Church is offering a Preaching and Lecture Series with great internationally known speakers. The following is a list of the speakers and lecture topics:”
I have personally heard Dr. Brenda Salter-McNeil (she rents space in an office that the denomination I work for owns) speak once, and have heard nothing but wonderful things about her ministry. Dr. Tony Campolo is another speaker listed (just to name someone you might be familiar with). I don’t know if I’ll personally check any of these out, but it sounds interesting for anyone close enough to check it out!
