I’ve noticed a lot of new folks on cino from Winona Lake, Indiana. Are you connected to Grace College?

Yeah, we’re all friends, and most of us attend the same tiny church. We’ve been encouraging each other to visit this site since cino’s views about Christians and culture are very representational of our own.

I think all the Winona Lake posters on here are Grace grads.

My sister teaches German at Grace and also attends a tiny church. Not the same one, I assume. Does yours have a name?

Yeah, i know Tim Robertson. He’s a pretty cool guy, but I don’t see students much anymore. Small world, I guess, how do you know him?

Dan, what’s your sister’s name?

my sister’s name is ****. Her husband, * has a construction company called ***. Both Grace grads also. Anyway, this is turning rather personal, but I think that’s well within cino’s mandate…

I am a Grace graduate of just this past December. I know who Tim is. I also know who prof. schlatter is, but i don’t know her personally.

Should you all visit Winona Lake? Well, I like it but it’s kinda small and I’m sure there are more exciting places to visit! :-) Pretty lakes, though.

Winona Lake was a retreat area way back and they’ve been trying to rebuild it over the last few years. There’s a number of artists with different shops all by the lake. On the corner of the shops, there’s a cafe called The Blue Lion that’s become kind of like Cheers for some of us and some artists around here. Across from the shops is a great park where we play bocci ball. The atmosphere is just hyper-leisurely. So should people visit? If you’re looking to do some hard-core relaxation, by all means.

By the way, small world on the connections. I don’t think I ever met your sister Dan, but I do know Tim and he’s a real cool kid. He was telling me that he’s applying to work for some magazines or get some journalism training last time I talked to him.
