Currently on Dordt’s campus, their is an art exhibition by Gerard Folkerts entitled “Restless Slumber” For those of you who are on or around dordt, you need to check this exhibit out. The body of work there is amazing. I was stunned by the incredible beauty of it, and i recommend checking him out to anyone on this board. He is from Winnipeg. i believe, and is an award winning artist. He will be coming to dordt Feb 7th i believe to speak about the art, so if you’re around, oyu may want to check that out.

i think we actually featured the piece, “restless slumber,” in our gallery on *cino a few months ago. folkerts is really incredible and i’d recommend going as well. how long will the show be there, ethan?

maybe i’ll have to make a trip out to iowa . . .

I’m not Ethan, but it will be here until March 1. It really is pretty amazing! Really rich and detailed.

you’re right ethan, Folkerts is an incredibly gifted artist, I felt priviledged to see his work, I was sad to see it go, but the junior art show has some decent stuff in it too. I am seriously considering about buying a print of his though.
