This movie should be a model for mainstream films. Maybe it’s so good because it’s based on an older model for films that we haven’t seen in a while. It’s certainly based on some of the great narratives of all time, especially the stuff of Homer. When I sat down to watch this movie, I did not expect to be thinking all night long about human nature and the use of law in society after it ended. But that’s what happened. I’m still trying to reconstruct the storyline and the way the characters worked against eachother to communicate their true identities as either good pirates or bad pirates. Has anyone else seen this film? And did you like it as much as I did?
