Robin Barcus is a multidisciplinary artist who concentrates in indoor and outdoor sculptures, installation and performance art. Her work infuses stunning visual spectacle with humor and grace, dealing with issues of the environment, gender, sexuality and the creative process itself in unexpected ways. A Chicago native, Robin graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a BFA in 1993. She has shown extensively in the American Midwest, as well as internationally in Holland and England. A prolific writer, Robin has been published in the <em>New Art Examiner</em>, was a staff writer for <em>F Magazine</em>, and for two years was editor of the <em>Chicago Women’s Caucus for Art News</em>. In addition, she also experiments with painting, drawing, collage, printmaking and photography.
