Just for curiosity:

How many people out there really LOVE their jobs? How many of us are doing what we yearned to do and look forward to getting up in the morning because we know the day that lies ahead is going to be utterly fulfilling?

I figured this is a good place to start in a section that has had no previous discussion.

We seem to be a little heavy on the educators at this site….but I love my job too. I am a kindergarten teacher – have been for 14 years and there is no joy I’m sure like that I feel when I see the light go on for reading and writing. It happens at this time of year and it still thrills me. The kids are funny and eager and sometimes loud and difficult. There are the days where there are endess zippers to zip, scarves to wrap and even worse INDOOR RECESS. But I am leaving it all after this year. That is LONG story but I have decided to move on to at least a new grade level or even some admin but I don’t think I could have a job with out some connectoion to kids.
I had another job too. I’m a mom to grown up kids now but staying home for a few years with that crowd was wonderful and terrible at the same time too. I think it is like that with all jobs. But it if fits you – the good outweighs the bad. Something about fullfilling a calling…………..
